The Catalan Data Protection Authority (APDCAT) and the School of Public Administration of Catalonia (EAPC) are launching this Monday a new edition of the Workshop on the implementation of the National Security Framework (ENS), the regulation that establishes the requirements for public-sector information systems to ensure their robustness and prevent leaks of sensitive information.
The workshop, which runs until 1 October, is aimed at technical staff from local authorities in Catalonia whose responsibilities include addressing issues related to data protection regulations.
Led by Albert Serra Pagès, APDCAT’s Coordinator of Technology and Information Security, the workshop will introduce the legal framework, the entities and systems subject to the ENS and its scope of application; examine its relationship with data protection; analyse its principles and minimum requirements; and cover the Basic ENS Compliance Plan (security policy and system categorisation), risk analysis, security measures and Information Security Management Systems (ISMS).
