Right to restriction of processing

You have the right to limit entities from processing your data in the following cases:

Limitació

  • When you have exercised your rights of rectification or opposition, while determining whether to attend to your request.
  • When the processing is unlawful, which would imply the erasure of the data, but you do not want to delete it.
  • When the data are no longer necessary for the processing, which would imply the erasure of the data, but you do not want to delete them, because you need them to formulate, file or defend a claim.

During the limitation

While the limitation lasts, the data controller entity can only process them in the following cases:

  • With your consent.
  • To formulate, file or defend a claim.
  • To protect the rights of another natural or legal person.
  • For reasons of important public interest, of the EU or the corresponding member state.

The entity that processes your data must communicate the limitation to each of the recipients to whom it conveys your data, unless it is impossible or requires disproportionate efforts. You can also request the identity of these recipients.
