The Catalan Data Protection Authority (APDCAT) promotes research studies on topics it considers relevant to monitor the evolution of data protection implementation in our society. It conducts research in strategic areas, such as the impact of new technologies on privacy, with the support of third parties when necessary. Furthermore, it coordinates work carried out by trainees, although this does not necessarily imply that the APDCAT shares the opinions expressed.
