The APDCAT takes part in AI Congress Barcelona with a conference on the risks of agentic artificial intelligence

The Director of the Catalan Data Protection Authority, Meritxell Borràs i Solé, will take part in AI Congress Barcelona, to be held on 20 October, in Auditori L’illa of Barcelona.

From 1.00 to 1.20 pm, Borràs will participate in the conference “Agentic AI and the GDPR: the new risks that remain hidden”.

The session will address the new risks that agentic AI poses to data protection, including the needs of the data used, the responsibility of organisations and human oversight of these systems.

Agentic AI is an artificial intelligence system designed to act autonomously, enabling it to make decisions and interact with its physical or digital environment.

AI Congress is an event organised by the Centre of Innovation for Data Tech and Artificial Intelligence (CIDAI) and coordinated by Eurecat, as part of the Catalan Artificial Intelligence Strategy promoted by the Government of Catalonia.
