Meritxell Borràs takes part in the event marking the 10th anniversary of the GDPR organized by the Spanish Data Protection Agency

The director of the Catalan Data Protection Authority (APDCAT), Meritxell Borràs i Solé, will participate in the event “10th Anniversary of the GDPR (2016–2026): A Decade of Challenges,” organized by the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD), which will take place at the Cibeles Palace in Madrid on March 24, 2026.

Borràs will take part in the round table “Views from Supervisory Authorities,” alongside the president of the Basque Data Protection Authority (AVPD-DBEA), Unai Aberasturi; the director of the Andalusian Council for Transparency and Data Protection (CTPDA), Jesús Jiménez; and the Director of Data Protection Supervision and Control of the General Council of the Judiciary (CGPJ), Paloma Santiago. The session will be moderated by the Deputy Director of the AEPD, Francisco Pérez Bes.

During the event, a joint declaration signed by the AEPD, APDCAT, AVPD-DBEA, CTPDA, and CGPJ will be presented.
