The Catalan Data Protection Authority (APDCAT) and the School of Public Administration of Catalonia (EAPC) publish a series of recommendations for creating appropriate digital content that respects one's own privacy and that of others, and avoids risks to the security and integrity of people.
In this sense, the eighth video in the series 'Let's talk about personal data', jointly produced by both organizations, delves into the publication of digital content on networks, and how it can determine the present and future of people. In this sense, the video especially reminds children and young people that everything published on social networks remains there forever, since others can share it and it is out of control.
The video also delves into the personal information that can be disseminated without the user being aware of it. These tips have been worked on the occasion of the collaboration between APDCAT and 3Cat to produce the second season of the ‘talent show’ ‘InfluencX3r’ by SX3, available on the platform.
The new video is part of the series ‘Parlem de dades personals’, which the APDCAT and the EAPC have been producing since 2022 to disseminate and raise awareness among citizens about how to protect personal data. The entire series is available on the APDCAT website and the EAPC YouTube channel, and delves into topics such as the value of personal data, video games and access to our data, extended reality and the protection of personal data, and the risks of artificial intelligence, health data protection, browsing cookies, and citizens' rights in the use of AI tools.
