DPO Network ‘DPD en xarxa’

The Catalan Data Protection Authority (APDCAT) has created the first learning and collaboration network for Data Protection Officers (DPOs) in Catalonia to promote training, communication, knowledge exchange, and teamwork among individuals responsible for ensuring compliance with data protection regulations in public sector organizations in Catalonia.

This platform is designed for individuals who serve as Data Protection Officers in organizations based in Catalonia. It offers spaces for training, documentation, working groups, forums, updates, and more. Access requires prior registration.

As part of one of these working groups, the Authority has developed a pioneering model in Europe (available in Catalan, Spanish, and English) for conducting impact assessments on fundamental rights in the use of artificial intelligence (FRIA), in line with the new Artificial Intelligence Regulation. The document was developed in the working group led by expert Alessandro Mantelero and is intended to serve as a reference for other organizations needing to carry out FRIA assessments.
