Calls, grants and public financial support

The APDCAT offers two training scholarships each year.

Beques

The APDCAT wants to extend training in data protection in Catalonia. For this reason, it has approved the bases for the awarding of two training grants in the field of personal data protection on a competitive basis. They are expected to be announced each year in the second quarter.

Their aim is to offer theoretical and practical training in the doctrine of the Authority, emerging technologies, the impact of data protection on society and its practical application in public administrations and companies. Priority will be given to granting the grants to a legal profile and a technological profile.

You can see the call for the 2026-2027 academic year below. The application can be submitted until June 9.

Individuals who have graduated in Law or Computer Engineering, or equivalent qualifications, within the four years prior to the publication date of the call, or who are expected to graduate at the end of the 2025–2026 academic year, and who hold a C1 level (or equivalent) of proficiency in the Catalan language.

In the case of applicants who graduate in the academic year 2025-2026 after the application period has ended, if they are selected as winners of one of the two scholarships, they will have to provide the documentation accrediting that they have passed the degree.

Applicants must also have a B2 level of English according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

The scholarships will last for ten months, with a dedication of 30 hours per week.

Each scholarship provides EUR 11,500, to be distributed proportionally over the duration of the scholarship, meaning EUR 1,150 per month

The required documents listed in point 7.2 of the call must be attached, including a statement of no more than 2,000 words setting out the reasons for applying for the scholarship and providing a personal reflection on the right to data protection from a legal and/or technical perspective.
